Reason For Ban: Crashed my Helicopter (initially)
Appeal: About a week ago on Monday 11th June I was playing on Resort in Bloody Good Server #1.
I was a transport pilot who, admittedly, was new to the role and did not know how to land my helicopter.
As expected, I made a number of crash landings on the beach which killed a few of my team's players.
Naturally, the local mod/admin was not impressed and had me vacate the server with a one week ban, which was fair enough.
However, today when I checked the ban in-game, it said I was banned permanently from Server #1.
I'm not certain if this is some kind of error in the process or an overzealous administrator, but either way I am appealing on these grounds.
While a one week ban for incompetent flying is fair enough (I am not begrudging the initial ban), I am strongly of the opinion that a permanent ban for crashing a trio of helicopters is, quite frankly, excessive and egregious.
I recently donated to these servers because, all things considered, the servers and the people on them are very good to play on and it would be a shame to see them go.
I sincerely hope that my enjoyment and patronage of these fine servers will not be soured by this oversight and I trust that my appeal will be met with proper consideration.
