The average rounds expended per kill with the M16 in Vietnam was 50,000. Snipers averaged 1.3 rounds.
The cost difference was $2300 v 0.27 cents.

I like the comments about relaxing the settings. I guess that means you can have a server set as hard or soft as you like. Also like their comments about the UI flexibility. Though RO2 had a mutator out pretty early to give players some UI options.

I reckon they learnt a heap from RO2 about what to do next time. Of course they are never going to say 'yeah we did this wrong and that right with RO2 just yet, but 100% that is the case.

I am quietly optimistic about RS2. I'm not a big fan of the more 'modern weapon' series of FPS but I am 100% behind this one.

RO2 player numbers are pretty good at the moment.
They say RS2 will be an end of 2016 maybe early 2017 proposition.
RO2 player number in Australia are tracking well ahead of RO1 when its release was announced.
RO1 was a total dead duck in Australia when RO2 was launched. Had been for about a year.
RO2 still gets good numbers.
The shit aint dead.
Seems to be like a Holden HQ - couldn't kill it with a stick.

Looks like they're on the right track with automatic weapons, particularly happy with the sight misalignment. Given the close range of the test firing it's a bit hard to judge
but I'd say automatic firing, even controlled, is going to be quite inaccurate at medium and long ranges.

The folding stock feature is interesting, guessing larger weapons are going to be more difficult to aim in tight quarters than they are in RO2 and RS.

Post on their forums.

It is has been an exciting few weeks at AMG and TW. Many placeholders are in the process of being updated and iterated on and things are changing daily. Today I want to show fans some of those items (Remember that everything you are about to see is a Work In Progress and may contain placeholder elements) - menus.

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam’s main menu. The goal of this landing page for all players is to both inform them about things and activities that may be going on related to the game as well as provide them easy access to joining into the fray, taking a few moments to brush up on gameplay or editing their personalized controls to their liking. While similar to fans of the series it has a new updated look and accommodates a news/community section.
(see if you can find my bad MS Paint skills in the next two photos)

As players hop into a server they will be presented with the faction selection and role menus. After choosing between the North and the South faction available on the map players will have to select their class, loadout and squad.

We’ve talked about collapsible stocks and today I have a new .webm that shows off how that is currently working.

The weapons team has also asked me to pass along some new weapon renders showcasing the M60 and the Baikal shotgun (have we mentioned that one yet?)

To finish things off today I have a few more items to discuss:

We will be at PAX East with an early build of Vietnam! Fans will want to drop by our booth and give us feedback! Come and talk with our lead designer Adam, myself as well as Sturt, the lead programmer from AMG - we are friendly!

And you can now find our new dedicated Twitter account for Vietnam here at @rs2vietnam

Do you reckon the commander will carry the radio? or would that be the spotter?, that's if they have a mobile radio operator in the game.

they have a radio man role for DH u had a radio on your back the commander could use and carried a carbine
worked well meant the commander could be up where he was needed and not just sitting at a radio and being useless

Almost had a radioman role in RS1. Thing is they didn't seem that they were gonna give the japanese the same option. Dumped it.
