For those of you who don't frequent the TWI forums, this post on Twitter was shared earlier in the week.

There isn't any real solid info at this stage that I'm aware of, but people are thinking we'll be getting some or all of the mapping contest maps, halftracks, the new stock map Maggot Hill and possibly the new game mode, Search and Destroy.

Even if we only get a portion of the above, April is shaping up to be a good month!

Urah.

I am very much looking forward to these updates, in particular more maps and the half tracks Smile

I'm mostly looking forward to the new game mode.... its quite different to what we have now, that is if I'm assuming it to be what it sounds like.

I still dont really get adding more vehicles in RO, one tank is good... unless it has the same limit as now (usually one tank a side) but you get a selection of heavy/light tanks or light armoured carriers/MGs.

ANYway Smile

Having the half tracks really just opens the door to larger battlefields and different tactics. Mappers will approach their map making with a whole different mindset about size and layout. As for tanks, I'm not much of a tanker but more variety in tanks will probably result in more tank heavy maps like Gumrak, Arad2 and some of the RO1 maps such as Black Day July. Most infantry orientated maps would still only have the one tank or so, if any. All in all I think the half tracks will have quite a positive effect on the future game.
