mmmmm i wonder why>?

Is a Xeon good for gaming?
LONG STORY SHORT, for gaming, Xeons are fine for most games but will bottleneck high-end GPU cards due to their lower single-thread speed. Xeons are generally outperformed by core i5 and i7 counterparts because they were designed for servers: More cores/threads, but at lower processing speed

mite be a reason

I think it might also be because games like RO and RS etc are single core games. So you need a higher clock speed for your cores as each game server sites on a single core. From what I could see, Squad and Beyond the Wire are multi core so they spread the load accross a number of cores so you can have a lower clock speed on the cores.

Edit. this is Cat. just logged in on the admin accoutn by accident.

Pity about the server issues with this.

Have played a bit more and it does play like Post Scriptum. The default keybindings are pretty much identical, and so is the feel of of movement and firing etc.
The Custom Melee they were talking about seems to be merely that the RMB is tied to a parry move, and this is only with a dedicated melee weapon. If one doesn't have a bayonet attached, melee doesn't work with main or secondary weapons - there is no smacking someone with the rifle butt, or pistol whipping as in other games. Has been a while since I have played, but again this last seems consistent with Post Scriptum.

On the one available Australian server there is already a bit of toxic behaviour creeping in it seems. People creating a squad that consists of themselves, and then locking it thereby making sure no-one else has access to the other roles in that section. Primarily with Engineer/Artillery, Command etc, that have more specialized and distinct roles within the section. Boring as hell when the server is full, or near full and these specialist roles are locked out - one can only play as generic Infantry.

Enjoying it so far though

Am working on a server upgrade which is due anyway. So might have a solution for this game if it works out to be something worth pursuing.
